AIRA Residence hosts an extensive (182.5m2 ) water feature within its premise. The water feature, an aquatic bio-pond, mimics the biodiversity and function of the natural environment.
In place of chemicals for water purification, the bio-pond uses native water cleansing plants to remove undesirable chemicals, biological contaminants, suspended solids and gases.
The end result is excellent water quality that creates a favorable habitat for fishes. The waste produced by fishes in turn act as fertiliser for the aquatic plants, thereby creating a symbiotic relationship that is beneficial to both species. Apart from aquatic life, the aquatic pond attracts natural predators of mosquitoes thus keeping the vicinity mosquito free.
Together with the landscape architect, our project development team has begun construction works on site with the aim of presenting a lush zone of welcoming greens, with landscape choices beautifully suited to this environment.
