Selangor Properties Unveils Luxury Development Project

Family-owned Selangor Properties Bhd (SPB) recently unveiled its first luxury development project in over a decade, namely the AIRA Residence, at a launch event in Damansara Heights.

Speaking at the launch, SPB’s chief operating officer Chong Koon San said, ” In our continuous quest for perfection, AIRA Residence was conceptualised to build upon our vision to be a premium developer. Through AIRA Residence, we aim to deliver an experience beyond expectations, and redefine luxurious living.”

Nestled on the tree-lined hilltop of Damansara Heights on Jalan Batai, the luxury condominium project comprises two towers that feature majestic views of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline. The design of the development involved three world-renowned designers, namely Piet Boon from Studio Piet Book for interior design, Franklin Po from Tierra Design for landscape architecture and Alen Nikolovski from Aedas for architectural design.

Tower A, which was launched on Tuesday, incorporates 105 units ranging from 2,679 square feet to 7,730 square feet. Prospective residents will be able to personalise their units through a range of styling options that include the selection of three colour palettes for wall, floor and cabinet finishes, a stunning variety of Piet Boon-designed furnishings, European luminaires and architectural lighting fixtures, smart home systems, plus Bang & Olufsen home entertainment systems housed in Piet Boon-designed wall cabinetry. Residents can also commission Studio Piet Boon to transform their AIRA Residence interiors into a uniquely bespoke home.

In a statement, SPB said that AIRA Residence incorporates a range of innovative green building ideas that will qualify it for a Silver Rating under the Malaysian Green Building Index system including electric car charging facilities, rain water harvesting, bio-ponds, the use of sustainable building materials, as well as energy efficient appliances.

Commenting on the overall design, Chong said: “Of prime importance to us was the need to ensure that AIRA Residence provided its residents and guests a sense of home—safe, familiar and comfortable—both in the interior and exterior spaces. For example, we wanted the lobby of AIRA Residence to feel like a five-star hotel lobby and Studio Piet Boon gave us something very special with its Porte-Coch`ere and splendid array of lounge spaces that cater to a diverse set of social occasions. And our design team achieved our other goal—to fuse elegant European styling with an understanding of eastern living requirements. The result is something quite unique in this market.”
